富士山のふもとで、暮らしながら、つくる。山梨県富士河口湖町大石。富士山と河口湖を望む場所に、6棟の家があります。6okken（ろっけん）は、現代美術・建築・写真・デザインに関わるメンバーが運営する、シェアハウスであり、アーティスト・ラン・レジデンスです。
Live at the foot of Mt. Fuji, and make things. Six houses in Oishi, on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi, run by artists, architects, photographers and designers. A share house and an artist-run residency, in one village.

2022年から、22カ国・50名を超えるアーティストや研究者がここに長く滞在し、つくり、暮らしてきました。ただし、ここはアーティストだけの場所ではありません。会社員、学生、フリーランス、地域で動く人。それぞれの生活を持ちながら、ときどき交わり、ときどき助け合って暮らしています。
Since 2022, more than fifty artists and researchers from 22 countries have lived and worked here for long stretches. It is not only for artists. Office workers, students, freelancers and people active in the area live here too, each with their own life, crossing paths now and then and helping each other when it matters.

The place どんな場所か

DAYS海外から来たアーティストと一緒にご飯を食べる日もあれば、一日中誰にも会わずに制作や仕事に沈む日もあります。「交流しなければならない」という決まりはありません。一人の時間を守りながら、必要なときには誰かとつながれる。その距離感を大切にしています。
Some days you share dinner with an artist from abroad. Some days you see nobody and sink into your own work. There is no rule that says you must socialise. We keep a distance that protects your own time and still lets you reach someone when you need to.
WORLD展示、イベント、ワークショップ、レジデンス。国内外の文化機関やアートコレクティブとの行き来も多く、山あいの小さな集落に、ときどき世界が訪ねてきます。
Exhibitions, events, workshops, residencies. Cultural institutions and collectives from Japan and abroad pass through, so every now and then the world turns up in a small mountain village.

You want to live close to nature. You are looking for a base for your work. You want to meet artists and makers from Japan and abroad. You are curious about running a place and its events. You value loose, easy ties. You want to be part of the area you live in.
ANYONEアーティストかどうかは問いません。何かをつくり続けたい人、つくる人の近くにいたい人、自分なりの暮らし方を探している人を歓迎します。
You do not have to be an artist. If you keep making something, like being near people who do, or are looking for your own way to live, you are welcome.

INCLUDED個室と共用スペースの利用料、水道光熱費、Wi-Fi、灯油代、日用品、共益物資、スタジオの利用。すべて込みです。追加の生活コストが発生しにくく、住まいと制作環境をひとつの引っ越しで手に入れられます。
Everything in. Your room, the shared spaces, utilities, Wi-Fi, kerosene for winter, household supplies and studio use. Few extra costs, and a home and a studio in one move.

Come and see 見学・お試し滞在

まずは一度、遊びに来てください。見学も、数日のお試し滞在もできます。住んでいる人と話して、この場所が自分に合いそうか確かめてもらえたら嬉しいです。
Come and visit first. You can look around, or stay a few nights to try it. Talk to the people who live here and see whether the place fits you.

6okkenは完成したコミュニティではありません。いまも少しずつ形を変えながら育っている場所です。暮らしの場として使いたい人も、運営に関わってみたい人も歓迎します。
6okken is not a finished community. It is still changing shape, slowly. You are welcome whether you want a place to live or a hand in running it.
